The Lady Rebel Soccer team came away with a big tie with Captain Shreve on Saturday, with the tying goal scored by Megan Olmstead.

The West Monroe HS Winter Guard competed in its first competition of the year this past Saturday at the Mississippi Indoor Association Regional in Brandon, MS. We have two teams this year and we are very proud that the Junior Varsity Winter Guard placed 6th in their division, scoring 3rd in Design Analysis, 5th in Movement Analysis and 4th in General Effect! Great first competition EVER as a unit! The Varsity Winter Guard placed 2nd overall, taking 2nd place in all captions! Wow what a show! Congratulations to all these all-hard working performers and good luck for the rest of the season.  The next competition is February 18th at Northwest Rankin, MS!

Both the Lady Rebel and Rebel soccer teams will host first round playoff games later this week.  We hope to see everyone there and will give more details when they become available!

FCS/FCA meets every Wednesday morning at 7:15 am in the New Gym.  Everyone is welcome to join.  Let's keep the momentum going from Spin and have our biggest group yet.

Jr Civitans will have a “sweet” meeting on February 7th, at 3:15, in Mrs. Beach’s room (6206). Please sign up for the meeting on our Google Classroom so we know how many to plan for. Also, if you have not picked up your T-shirt yet, stop by anytime to get it.

Attention all sophomores:

Thursday, February 9, 2023, all 10th graders will take the PreACT test. The PreACT is a paper-and-pencil test consisting of multiple-choice sections for English, Math, Reading, and Science. There is no written essay portion on this test. All students are expected to be in attendance on this test day.  A regular schedule will run on this day and all classes will be held.

West Monroe High School will be offering a Spring test date for the ASVAB test, Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023. Any student interested in taking this exam should see Col. Hart or Sgt. Campbell in the ROTC building or may stop by at any time to see Mrs. Williams in the Testing Office.
